The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Loera arrived unannounced to conduct an annual Required-1 year inspection and met with Angela Lofton, Licensee/Administrator. There are currently 2 clients in care.

LPA and Licensee toured facility and grounds and observed the home to be at a comfortable temperature with all exits free from obstruction. Client rooms were furnished per regulation. Water temperature accessible to clients in care were measured at 119.5 and 127.1 degrees F, LPA discussed with Licensee about turning down the water heater and checking the water temperature periodically to make sure the water temperature is within the required regulation range of 105 to 120 degrees F. Extra hygiene products and linens were available. Sharps and cleaning supplies are kept locked and inaccessible to clients. Facility has at least two days of perishable and seven days of non-perishable foods. Smoke/Carbon Monoxide detectors located throughout the facility were tested and operational. Emergency supplies are kept in a designated room. Medications were centrally stored. LPA conducted spot medication count and found all prescription medication to be properly recorded on the Centrally Stored Medication Record. Facilities last emergency/fire drill was conducted 07/01/2025. Fire extinguishers were last inspected June 2025.

LPA conducted a review of two client records. All records had the required documentation. LPA conducted review of two staff records/training. Upon a review of staff records, LPA found all staff to have required training as well as current 1st Aid & CPR certification on file.

No deficiencies cited during today's inspection. Updated copies of the following documents were requested for facility file and are to be submitted to CCL by 08/24/2025:
