The inspector’s account

At approximately 10:00 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jill Nakagawa arrived unannounced to conduct an Annual Inspection and was greeted by Licensee/Administrator Harjit Aujla. No clients were on site at the time of inspection.

This facility had changed locations in August 2024. LIcensee has applied for a change in ambulatory status. Fire Clearance on 6/16/2025 has been approved for 3 non-ambulatory and 1 bedridden client/s. Licensee is currently in partnership with North Bay Regional Center (NBRC).

LPA toured the facility with Administrator and observed the following: Facility is a one story home, was a comfortable temperature, and passageways were free from obstructions. Water temperature in clients' bathrooms measured within the allowable range of 105 to 120 degrees F per Title 22 regulations. Telephone service and internet service was transferred to this new location. Facility has a fully charged fire extinguisher, which was last inspected January 8, 2025. Last fire drill was on 05/03/2025. Smoke and Carbon Monoxide detectors were tested and operational during inspection. Kitchen was clean and well-organized with an ample supply of perishable and non-perishable foods, labeled as required. Medications were locked and stored in medication cabinet in dining area. The backyard was free of debris and has paved walkways and a patio with a shaded seating for client outdoor use. Windows, screens, and blinds are all found to be in good repair and facility exits are clearly identified. Clients' rooms were clean, well-organized and included clients' personal touches.

No deficiencies found at the time of inspection. No citations issued.
