The inspector’s account

At approximately 10:15 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Star Stevenson arrived unannounced to conduct a required 1-year annual inspection and was greeted by staff member Marivic Dela Cruz who has Designation of Facility Responsibility (RP). Licensee Arnel Silverio arrived at 11:15 AM. Administrator Gerald Dean III was contacted by phone and arrived at approximately 11:40 AM. Facility is an Adult Residential Facility (ARF) with four clients in care. Two clients were present during today's inspection.

At approximately 10:30 AM, LPA initiated a tour of the facility with RP and observed the following: Facility is a one story home, was a comfortable temperature, and passageways were free from obstructions. Home was recently decorated for the holidays. Water temperatures in clients' bathrooms measured within the allowable range of 105 to 120 degrees F per Title 22 regulations. LPA observed a supply of clean linens and hygiene, paper, and incontinent care products available for clients. Clients' bedrooms were inspected and observed to have all of the appropriate furnishings as outlined in Title 22 regulations. Cabinets containing cleaning supplies and other items that could pose a risk were locked. Facility has at least two days of perishable food and one week of non-perishable foods, as well as an emergency water supply. In addition, each client has any emergency go pack and the home has long term 170 servings of emergency meals.

Medications were centrally stored and locked. There is a shaded seating area in the backyard with outdoor space for activities. Facility has a velcro dart board, hands-on games, in addition, two clients are noted to play games on their own Ipads. Facility has an internet access device and internet available to clients in care, and the phone was tested and found to operational during today's inspection.

Facility's fire extinguisher was observed charged and was last serviced 7/2025. Smoke and Carbon Monoxide detectors were tested and found to be operational during inspection.
