The inspector’s account

At approximately 12:35 PM LPAs Star Stevenson, Marisol Cuadra and Ethel Contreras to continue a required 1 year annual inspection and were met by caregivers Jose Quisquino and Jackylson Dagos who both have background clearance. LPAs were advised that three (3) clients were present and one (1) was away in day program.

Licensee was called who gave permission via phone for two (2) staff caregivers Jose Quisquino and Jackylson Dagos to help us with staff and client record review, P&I money management and centrally stored medicine review.

At approximately 1:00 PM record review began.

Five (5) staff records were reviewed and one (1) of (5) were missing evidence of current 1st aid training training, staff reported the staff member had moved out of state and no longer worked at the facility. Staff were reminded of the importance of removing staff off their LIC500 roster and Guardian if they did not expect a staff member to return to work and a technical violation was issued. (80075 Health Related Services. (f) Staff providing care and supervision shall receive first aid training from qualified agencies including but not limited to the American Red Cross.)

Four (4) of Four (4) client files were reviewed and all had required documentation.

P&I money was reviewed and was accounted for.

Medicines were centrally stored and logged.
