Facility Evaluation Report
At approximately 9:20AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Star Stevenson arrived unannounced at Aging Lovely for the purpose of conducting a Required - 1 Year inspection. LPA met with administrator/licensee Higinia Alvis.
Currently, the facility does not have clients in care; last date clients were in the home was on 02/15/2022.
Fire clearance approval is for six (6) non-ambulatory clients. All exits were cleared and free of obstruction.
A recent emergency/disaster drill has not been conducted without clients in care. Fire extinguisher was charged and serviced on 07/29/2022. Administrator/licensee Higinia Alvis called the fire department and arranged an inspection during my visit. Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors were tested and observed to be operational. Water that would be accessible to clients in care were found to be within 105 to 120F per title 22 regulations.
A number of technical issues were observed during the inspection with technical advisories given including:
1)Electrical outlet, one (1) needs cover plates behind a wash machine in front storage room.
2)Lock(s) below kitchen sink need to be repaired to safely secure cleaning supplies.
3)Food items need to be dated once removed from commercial bags
4)Main kitchen refrigerator needs to have food removed and refrigerator cleaned.
5)Two gardening pick axes were laying out in the yard and licensee/administrator was told to ensure these and any other sharp gardening items are locked up before taking clients in care.
No deficiencies cited during this inspection
