The inspector’s account

On August 25, 2025, at 1:00 PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kayla Adkison arrived at the facility unannounced to conduct a Required 1-Year inspection. LPA met with administrator, Jazmen Huff, and explained the purpose of the visit. During the inspection, there were no clients and one (1) staff present in the facility. LPA Adkison and administrator toured the facility together to ensure the health and safety of residents in care.

Areas toured include but are not limited to four (4) resident rooms, common areas, two (2) bathrooms, kitchen, storage areas and back yard. LPA reviewed four (4) staff and four (4) resident files which contained all required documentation. Medications were observed to be kept in a locked cabinet and inaccessible to clients in care. Medication Administration Records (MARs) were reviewed and found to be in compliance.

All common areas, bedrooms, kitchen and bathrooms were clean and in good repair. Facility has required (7) seven day non-perishable and (2) two day perishable supply of food. LPA observed a planned menu for clients.

The facility was observed to be at a comfortable temperature. First aid kit was fully stocked and ready for emergency use. Smoke detectors are all operational. Fire extinguisher was last serviced over one (1) year ago. LPA advised administrator to have fire extinguishers serviced. Hot water temperature measured within Title 22 regulations. All employees requiring background checks are cleared. There is a schedule of activities planned for the clients. All required postings are displayed within the facility. The last disaster drill was conducted and documented on July 14, 2025, the facility has been conducting drills monthly.
