The inspector’s account

On 05/13/2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Marisa Chiarelli arrived at the facility unannounced to conduct a Required 1 Year Inspection. LPA met with Program Manager, Ryan Duncan, and explained the purpose of the visit.

LPA Chiarelli and Program Manager toured the facility together to ensure the health and safety of clients in care. Areas toured include but are not limited to: one main classroom, locked storage rooms and two (2) bathrooms. LPA observed the chemicals to be locked and inaccessible. LPA observed lawn equipment and tools to be stored in a locked room and inaccessible. LPA observed a main classroom with storage lockers and tables for client use. The facility had a variety of supplies for client activities including games, puzzles, movies and art supplies. Clients bring their own lunches and do not require assistance in preparing meals.

Hot water temperature was measured at 116 degrees and in compliance with Title 22 regulations. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are in compliance. Fire extinguishers are in working order. The last fire drill was conducted in April, 2026. Disaster drills are being conducted every six months. LPA observed the first aid kit to be complete and ready for emergency use.

LPA reviewed four (4) client and four (4) staff files, which contained all of the required documentation.

This facility is in compliance and no deficiencies are being cited as a result of today's inspection.
