The inspector’s account

On May 19, 2025, at 10:30 am. Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kayla Adkison arrived at the facility unannounced to conduct a Required 1 Year Inspection. LPA met with Program Manager, Ryan Duncan, and explained the purpose of the visit.

LPA Adkison and Program Manager toured the facility together to ensure the health and safety of clients in care. Areas toured include but are not limited to: one main classroom, computer room, locked storage rooms and two (2) bathrooms. LPA observed the chemicals to be locked and inaccessible. LPA observed lawn equipment and tools to be stored in a locked and inaccessible. LPA observed a main classroom with storage lockers and tables for client use. The facility had a variety of supplies for client activities including games, puzzles, movies and art supplies. LPA observed the staff room to be locked and contain desks for smaller client classes. Clients bring their own lunches and do not require assistance in preparing meals.

Hot water temperature was measured at 107 degrees and in compliance with Title 22 regualtions. Fire Extinguishers were last inspected May, 2025. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are in compliance. The last fire drill was conducted in April, 2025. Disaster drills are being conducted every six months. LPA observed the first aid kit to be complete and ready for emergency use.

LPA reviewed four (4) client and four (4) staff files, which contained all of the required documentation.

This facility is in compliance and no deficiencies are being cited as a result of today's inspection.
