The inspector’s account

On 04/04/2025 at 01:15 PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Sarah Benson arrived at the facility, unannounced, to conduct a Required-1 Year inspection. LPA explained the purpose of the visit.to Administrator, Tamara Gratteau, (cert #6044805735 exp.7-20-25) covering for Administrator, Michael Sybet.

LPA Benson and administrator toured four (4) resident rooms, common areas, two (2) bathrooms, kitchen, storage areas and backyard, to ensure the health and safety of residents in care. Common area, bathrooms, and kitchen were clean, odor-free and in good repair. All bedrooms had required furniture, bedding, and lighting. Cooking/dining equipment and utensils were present in kitchen. Prepared food is properly stored. Facility has required (7) seven day, non-perishable and (2) day perishable supply of food. Staff and resident files were reviewed. Medication is stored in a locked closet. First aid kit fully stocked. Fire extinguisher fully charged. Smoke detectors are all operational. Hot water temperature measured between 105 degrees F and 120 degrees. Facility thermostat set comfortably. Required postings are displayed. Schedule of client activities is also posted. Employees have cleared background checks. Exterior pool is fenced and covered, per Title 22 regulation requirements. No firearms on premises. Disaster drill conducted every 3 months; most recently on 3-27-25.

Facility is in compliance. No immediate health, safety, or personal rights violations were observed. No deficiencies are being cited as a result of today’s inspection.

Exit interview conducted and copy of report was provided to administrator.
