The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) David Marrufo conducted an unannounced Required 1 Year Visit and met with Administrator Mauna Morris.

During visit, LPA toured the facility inside and out. LPA toured the kitchen area and observed all containers in the refrigerator to be sealed. LPA toured two out of two resident bathrooms and observed there to be available soap and paper towels and working lights. The water temperature in the bathroom sinks measured at 105 F.

LPA toured the activity room and two out of two relaxation rooms in the facility. LPA tested the carbon monoxide detector and it functioned properly when tested. During visit, a facility staff tested the smoke detector system and it functioned properly when tested.

LPA toured the outside area and observed the exits to be clear of obstructions.

During visit, LPA reviewed five staff records and five residents records and found them to be complete.

No deficiencies were cited at this time as per California Code of Regulations Title 22. This report was reviewed with Administrator Mauna Morris and a copy of this report was provided.
