The inspector’s account

On 8/20/2024 Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Marcella Tarin and David Marrufo conducted an unannounced required 1 year visit. LPAs met with Administrator Cecilia Claridad. LPAs toured the facility inside and out.

LPAs toured the kitchen area. LPAs observed chemicals and sharp objects in locked cabinets. LPAs observed 2 days of perishable foods and 7 days of nonperishable foods. LPAs observed labeled food items in the refrigerator and freezer. LPAs observed a first aid kit to be complete. LPAs observed 2 out of 2 resident bathrooms. LPAs observed available soap and paper towels. LPAs measured both resident bathroom sinks water temperatures to be 105 degrees Fahrenheit.

LPAs toured 4 out of 4 resident bedrooms. LPAs observed resident bedrooms to have available bedding, storage area, and functioning lights. LPAs tested smoke detectors in 4 out of 4 resident bedrooms and in the hallway and found that they were functioning properly.

LPAs toured the outside area of the facility. LPAs observed a locked shed with tools. LPAs observed a loose wooden panel on the outside side fence of the facility.

An Advisory Note was issued. See LIC 9102 for more information. Due to time constraints, this inspection will need to be continued at a later time. No deficiencies were cited at this time as per California Code of Regulations Title 22.
