The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Maria (Mita) Partoza, conducted an unannounced inspection visit for case management - deficiencies. LPA was greeted by 2 staff. Administrator Michelle Benitez was not at the facility at the time of arrival. ADM Michelle Benitez arrived at the facility at 4:58 p.m. LPA stated the purpose of the visit.

The visit is to clear the deficiency that was cited on 12/18/2025 based on California Code of Regulation (CCR) Title 22: LPA toured the facility inside and outside.

87303 (e) Water supplies and plumbing fixtures shall be maintained as follows: (2) Faucets used by residents for personal care such as shaving and grooming shall deliver hot water. Hot water temperature controls shall be maintained to automatically regulate the temperature of hot water used by residents to attain a temperature of not less than 105 degree F (41 degrees C) and not more than 120 degree F (49 degrees C). During today's visit LPA measured the water temperature with the digital thermometer in the kitchen and bathroom and measured at 111.3 to 112.8 degree F which complies with CCR Title 22.

87309 (a) Except as specified in subsection (b), the licensee shall ensure that disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisonous substances, knives, matches, tools, sharp objects, and other similar items which could pose a danger to residents are in locked storage and are not left unattended if outside the locked storage. LPA observed the knives and chemicals were locked and not accessible to residents in care.
