The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Marcela Yanez conducted an unannounced Required 1 Year visit and met with Emily Michaelberger Program Director. LPA announced the purpose of the visit. LPA observed 2 residents on patio reading, 1 resident eating a snack. and 3 residents taking a nap.

During visit, LPA toured the facility inside and out. LPA toured the Kitchen area and observed food storage areas and locked cabinets for cleaning supplies. LPA observed hallway closet area and observed locked cabinet, sharp objects, and cleaning supplies. LPA observed locked medication room with Medication Cart.

LPA observed entry way had kiosk for visitors to check in and resident satisfaction survey and required posters.

LPA observed perishable food supply of at least two days and a non-perishable food supply of at least seven days. Refrigerator temperature measured with thermometer at 38 degrees F and Freezer at -20 degrees F.

LPA toured 5 resident bedrooms. Each bedroom had available bedding and clothing storage areas as well as functioning lights. PD tested the smoke detector in the office and found the smoke detector to function properly when tested.

LPA toured 3 resident bathrooms. Each bathroom had available soap and paper towels and functioning lights. The water temperatures in the bathroom sinks measured with thermometer at 116.6-116.7 degrees F.
