Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Marcella Tarin and Kenneth Madrigal conducted an unannounced case management-other visit and met with Administrator Joseph Lansana.

The purpose of the visit is to follow-up on a report the Department received from a semi-annual review from the Department of Developmental Services (DDS).

On 11/21/2024, DDS conducted a semi-annual monitoring review. During the review, it was observed that a resident (R1's) immunization status was not up to date. The ADM stated that the facility had notified R1's Primary Care Physician (PCP) and had not heard back.

During visit, LPA's reviewed R1's record and observed no update to R1's immunization's status since 11/21/2024. LPA's interviewed the ADM. The ADM states he has not heard back from R1's physician since 11/21/2024 about R1's immunization status At 2:45 PM, LPA's observed a phone call between the ADM and R1's physician regarding updating R1's immunization status. R1's physician stated he would review R1's immunization status next week (12/23/2024).

LPAs advised ADM to ensure that each client receives necessary first aid and other needed medical or dental services, including arrangement for and/or provision of transportation to the nearest available services.

A Technical Violation was issued today. No deficiencies cited during today's visit per California Code of Regulations, Title 22. An exit interview was conducted with ADM Joseph Lansana and signed copy of this report was provided.
