The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Marcella Tarin conducted an unannounced annual inspection visit, and met with Administrator (ADM) Patrick Laurel and Staff (S1) Marta Malapitan. LPA stated the purpose of the visit.

LPA toured the interior and exterior of the facility with S1 to include but not limited to the front lobby, activity rooms, movie theater room, conference room, kitchen, client bathrooms and library area. LPA observed the facility to be clean, sanitary and in good repair. LPA observed all exits and passageways were free and clear of obstruction. LPA observed 4 exit doors with auditory alarms to be functioning properly when tested by S1.

LPA measured hot water temperature with a range from 105 F to 114.6 F. The facility was equipped with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Smoke detector alarm system and carbon monoxide detectors were serviced by a third party vendor on 11/21/2025 and was 'operating in normal condition'. Fire extinguisher was serviced on 5/1/2025. The facility conducted a fire drill on 11/24/2025. First aid boxes were observed in the activity area of the facility.

LPA reviewed 8 client files and 8 staff files.

No deficiencies cited during today's visit per California Code of Regulations, Title 22. An exit interview was conducted with ADM and a signed copy of this report was provided to ADM.
