The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Christine Kabariti arrived to the facility unannounced to conduct the facility's required - 1 year annual inspection. LPA met with Administrator, Abraham Longoria.

During visit, LPA toured the facility with the Administrator to include the living room, kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom, garage, and exterior. There were no residents present during visit. All fire exit routes are free and clear of obstruction. Facility temperature maintained at 69 degrees F. Fire extinguisher last serviced 01/07/2025. Carbon monoxide detector present and operable. Hot water temperature in the bathroom maintained at 117.6 degrees F. Resident bedrooms equipped with proper furniture, linens, and adequate lighting. Refrigerator temperature maintained at 35 degrees F. Freezer temperature maintained at 0 degrees F. Facility has at least 2 days worth of perishables and 7 days worth of non-perishable foods. Menu posted in the kitchen. LPA observed the facility has an emergency disaster plan. Emergency drill last completed on 01/31/2025. Facility has extra flashlights and batteries available, when needed. Each resident has their own grab and go backpack in case of an emergency along with their own emergency binders. Sharp objects, chemicals, disinfectants, and medications observed locked. LPA reviewed 3 resident files were complete and no issues noted. 3 resident's centrally stored medications and records reviewed with the staff. All medications were accounted for and no issues noted. 1 out of 3 resident's had P&I money which was reviewed with the Administrator. All money was accounted for and no issues were noted. LPA reviewed 3 staff files were complete and no issues noted. 3 out of 3 staff has an active first aid certificate. No deficiencies were cited per California Code of Regulations, Title 22. This report was reviewed with Administrator, Abraham Longoria and a copy of the report was provided.
