The inspector’s account

At 8:53 am on 04/4/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Rankin arrived unannounced to the facility to conduct the annual facility inspection. LPA met with Sarita Hidalgo and explained the purpose of the visit. Administrator is out of town on day of annual inspection. LPA spoke briefly with administrator over the phone.

A tour of the inside and outside of the facility was conducted with House Manager. The following was inspected and noted during the annual visit:

Physical Plant & Environment Safety: This facility is a 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom residence with open living room setting, with kitchen area, den and staff office in common area. Facility is occupying 2 residents and employs 12 staff. The facility is clean, safe, and sanitary. The facility has dual smoke and carbon monoxide detectors which were tested and working during time of visit. The lighting in common areas was sufficient, lighting in restrooms will be increased, currently 1 out of 2 switches produce lights. Toilet, hand washing and bathing facilities are operational. The pathways are clear of any obstructions. Disinfectant, cleaning solutions and poisons are in a locked cabinet under the kitchen sink. Cleaning supplies were locked, LPA requested an adjustment to the locking system to ensure residents cannot reach inside to grab items. The facility has sufficient space inside and outside for activities and visiting. The facility has an enclosed backyard for client use. The facility has telephone and internet service for client use. Water temperature was within regulation requirements and facility checks and keeps a log of temperatures.

Operational Requirements: The Facility is operating in compliance with the granted fire clearance. The facility is approved for a capacity of 4 Ambulatory of which 2 can be non-ambulatory. Continued on 809-C
