The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Melisa Rankin along with Tri-County Regional Center Wesley Marking conducted an unannounced Post Licensing Visit. At approximately 11:00 am, LPA and Regional Center met with Licensee Aprilyn Soriano and LPA explained the reason for the visit. There were no clients initially and around 1:15 pm a client arrived and shortly after 2 additional clients arrived.

A tour of the physical plant was assessed, and the following was noted. The facility has 6 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen and garage.

Physical plant was checked for cleanliness and condition. Walls, windows, ceilings, floors and floor coverings, doors and screens were checked. Telephone and internet services are operable. All passageways and doors are not blocked or obstructed. The physical plant is consistent with the submitted facility sketch/floor plan. The facility has sufficient space to accommodate both indoor and outdoor activities.

Living and dining room furniture were also checked for functionality. The living room is neat and clean along with the family/dining room. The facility maintains a comfortable temperature.

The backyard of the facility has outdoor furniture, with shaded area for clients. There are no bodies of water present. The back and side yards are completely fenced with 1 self-latching gate.

The garage is attached to the home and is kept locked inaccessible to clients. Basic laundry equipment is present.
