The inspector’s account

At 7:45am on 09/20/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mark Jeffries conducted an unannounced Required Annual visit. LPA met with Licensee Jennifer Gallagher, announced who he is and the reason for the visit.

LPA toured facility with Licensee. This is a 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom home. There are two clients sharing a one of the rooms and the other client is in a single room. LPA noted that the faculty is clean and in good repair. There is a new addition of stairs and an open space added to the home which was completed folling licensing guidelines last year. . The facility is maintained in conformance with state fire marshal regulations. Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors functioning. Inside and outside passageways are free from obstruction. Facility has a backyard for resident use with furniture and shade available. The facility temperature was 71 degrees F. Hot water temperature was within regulation parameters Clients’ rooms are appropriately furnished with adequate lighting. LPA observed 2 days of perishable and 7 days of non-perishable food. Food is stored in proper containers in refrigerator and freezer. A written disaster and mass casualty plan is readily available. Administrator is currrent on Administrator Certificate, Licensee is working on their Administration Certificate. Disaster drills are conducted routinely. Facility currently has three clients and one conserved family member residing at the home.

LPA reviewed medications. Medications are stored in a locked drawer in the kitchen. There is a signed and dated order from a physician for prescription and PRN medication. Medications are given per physician's orders.

LPA reviewed resident files. All files reviews have current physicians report, service plans and admission agreements. Staff files review have current first aid certificates, health screenings, and required amount of training. There were no violations during this annual facility inspection.
