The inspector’s account

On 03/29/2022 at 1:15 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) T. White arrived unannounced to conduct a required 1-year Annual inspection. LPA met with Facility Manager, Elizabeth Goulding and explained the purpose of today’s inspection. LPA was allowed entry into the facility that is licensed to serve a total capacity of 6 ambulatory clients.

LPA toured the facility including but not limited to bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, common area and backyard. There are no bodies of water observed. A comfortable temperature for clients is maintained at 72 degree Fahrenheit. Hot water temperature in the shared clients’ bathroom was measured at 113 degree Fahrenheit. LPA observed lighting in all rooms are adequate for the comfort and safety of the clients.There is a minimum of 7-day non-perishable and 2-day perishables foods.

LPA observed smoke detectors and carbon monoxide in operating condition during inspection. Fire extinguisher was last serviced on April 05, 2021. First aid kit observed to be complete. Fire drill was last conducted 03/07/2022. LPA reviewed 3 resident files and medications. LPA reviewed 3 staff records.

- LPA observed kitchen mini-refrigerator unsanitary.

- LPA observed Bamboo and branches blocking the entrance way to the facility.

- LPA observed torn window screen in clients shared bedroom.
