The inspector’s account

On 3-18-2026 at 1:25pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Michael Bilger arrived unannounced conduct a case management visit regarding safeguarding of items. LPA met with Administrator Marie Arbios and explained the purpose of the visit. LPA conducted interviews with Administrator and resident1 (R1). LPA also reviewed incident report dated 2-25-2026 and facility's internal investigation, and other facility file documentation related to R1.

Based on interviews and record reviews, it was revealed that on or about 2-23-2026, R1 reported to facility staff that he was missing cash from his wallet in the approximate amount of four-hundred forty dollars ($440.00). Interview revealed that the cash was last stored in his recliner chair and was last seen on 2-4-2026. A search was performed by facility staff, but staff was unsuccessful in locating money. An internal investigation was performed by the facility which could not reveal or prove corroboration of theft or other wrongdoing. Facility also followed the established theft and loss policy which included reporting requirements and report to local law enforcement. Additional interviews conducted by LPA did not reveal corroboration of theft or other wrongdoing. Additional documentation revealed that R1 had inventoried the cash or other items.

As a result of today's case management, no citations are issued. An exit interview was conducted with Administrator and a copy of this report was provided.
