Facility Evaluation Report
On 10/10/2022 LPA Tryon met with Administrator Kyra Dixon at the new site for the Adult Achievement Center in Auburn, to complete a pre-licensing visit.
LPA toured the facility including program rooms, kitchen, storage areas, offices, reception area, hallways, bathrooms. There is no outside area for participants to use at this time. Program is clean and well-furnished, has new kitchen and bathrooms, etc.
The program has files for each participant and staff with appropriate information.
Program is well-equipped with plenty of First Aid supplies, PPE, cleaners, etc. Cleaners are locked separately in a designated closet. Program has various supplies for recreational activities.
The facility has received a Fire Clearance. However, LPA noted that there do not appear to be Carbon Monoxide Detectors present in the facility. The program will obtain Carbon Monoxide Detectors and install them, and submit proof of installation to LPA ASAP.
Overall, the program site appears ready and appropriate. Once the Carbon Monoxide Detectors are installed and proof received, LPA will forward information to the Central Applications Unit.
Since the ARC has already run a day program in the area for many years, and does have another nearby "sister" day program in Roseville, LPA did not require the Administrator to complete an Orientation Part III. The Administrator had run this program in Meadow Vista, prior to the license being closed during COVID,and has been running a virtual day program throughout the pandemic.
