The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Hanna Gough made an unannounced visit to the facility for the purpose of conducting the required annual inspection. LPA was greeted and granted entry by staff. LPA met with Staff Supervisor (SS) Hailey Camacho and discussed the purpose of the visit.

The facility is a one story home with four client bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen and attached two car garage. The facility appears clean, safe and sanitary. LPA observed the clients returning home from day program and relaxing and watching tv. LPA observed all client bedrooms to have the required components and furnishings. LPA observed the client restrooms to be stocked with toilet paper, paper towels and non slip mats in the showers. LPA tested the water to be between 109.7 and 112.2 degrees Fahrenheit in the client restrooms. LPA observed the kitchen to be clean and free of vermin. LPA observed a two day perishable and seven day nonperishable food supply on hand. LPA observed the centrally stored medication to be in a locked cabinet located in the kitchen. LPA observed a fire extinguisher charged and with a service date of March 19, 2025 mounted on the wall in the kitchen. LPA observed a clean supply of extra linens in the hall cabinet for client use. LPA observed the garage to be locked and made inaccessible to clients in care. LPA observed the garage to be used as a staff office area as well as extra storage for facility supplies. LPA observed the knives and sharps to be in a locked cabinet in the garage. LPA observed the toxins and chemicals to be in the locked garage as well. LPA observed the emergency food and water supply to be stored in the garage. LPA observed an outdoor shaded seating area for client use. LPA observed all emergency exits to be free of debris and obstructions. LPA and SS tested the carbon monoxide detectors and fire alarms and they were found to be operational.
