The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jerome arrived for the one-year annual inspection. LPA met with Program Manager Tarah McNulty who was present for the visit.

The facility is in a in a shared building and operates on the second floor of building 6. The day program operates out of 2 areas in the back corner of the second floor of building six . The program operates on Wednesday’s and Fridays from 10:00am – 2:00pm. Participants are not required to bring lunch, as Meals on Wheels provides lunch for the participants. In addition to the lunch provided by meals on wheels, the program provides snacks for the participants.

There’s an activity room where the participate in different activities. There’s a large TV in the activity room used for music and karaoke. There’s a storage/closet room used to store additional tables, chairs, and a few push brooms, and a fully charged fire extinguisher was observed mounted on the wall near the entrance.

Right outside the main activity room, is an office used by the program staff. In the office is a first aid kit mounted on the wall with all the required elements. A fire extinguisher was mounted on the wall next to the first aid kit. Staff and participants files are stored in the office area.

Program participants share a restroom with the gym members who are on the same floor as the day program but are not participants of the program. Hot water temperature was measured at 115.5 degrees F. Program participants do not participate in any gym activities while in the day program.
