The inspector’s account

On April 27, 2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Brandon Lopez made an unannounced visit to the facility to conduct the required annual inspection. LPA was greeted and granted entry into the facility by staff after explaining the purpose for the visit. Program Supervisor (PS) Ana Magdaleno was present and assisted on today's inspection.

The facility is an Adult Day Program (ADP) licensed for one hundred clients, of which eighty can be ambulatory and twenty of which can be non-ambulatory. The facility is a two story commercial building with the first floor being for clients and the second floor being for staff use only. The first floor consist of a main common area, a staff office, a kitchen area, an exercise area, and two bathrooms for clients. The program operates from Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM. LPA, accompanied by the PS, conducted a tour of the facility. On today's visit, the facility currently has a census of seventy two clients. LPA observed the main common area to be clear of obstructions and hazards. LPA observed clients participating in a group activity. LPA inspected the staff office and observed it to be free of hazards. LPA inspected the kitchen area. The facility does not provide food service but does offer snacks and appliances for client use. Clients bring their own food or purchase their own food at outings. LPA inspected the kitchen appliances such as the refrigerator and the microwaves and observed them to be clean and operational. LPA observed the facility has a sufficient supply of snacks on hand for clients. LPA observed sharps to be stored in a locked kitchen cabinet. LPA inspected the exercise area and observed it to be free of hazards. LPA inspected the two client bathrooms and observed them to be free of hazards. Faucets and toilets were operational.

LPA observed a fire extinguisher to be mounted on the wall in the common area. The fire extinguisher was observed to be charged and serviced as of February 25, 2026. CONTINUED ON LIC809-C
