Facility Evaluation Report
Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Claudia Gutierrez made an unannounced visit for the purpose of conducting a Required/Annual Inspection. LPA arrived at the facility and rang the doorbell but received no response. At 1:52 p.m., LPA contacted Administrator (AD) Lucina Epstein by phone and the purpose of the inspection was discussed. AD arrived at approximately 2:00 p.m. and granted LPA entry into the facility.
During the inspection, LPA and AD conducted a tour of the facility and observed the following:
This is a one-story house with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. All designated client bedrooms had the required furnishings, and LPA observed all beds had linens and blankets. Bathrooms were observed to be free of debris and faucets and toilets were operational. Water temperature tested at 116.6 degrees Fahrenheit. Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors tested operational. Facility appliances, including gas burner stove, microwave, and laundry washer and dryer were observed to be operable.
The facility currently has no clients in care. Per AD, the facility is pending vendorization by Regional Center of Orange County (RCOC) and stated they wish to maintain the license at this time. AD stated they will notify Community Care Licensing if, and when, a client is admitted to the facility.
Based on the observations made during today’s inspection, no deficiencies are being cited per Title 22 Division 6 of the California Code of Regulations. An exit interview was conducted, and a copy of this report was left at the facility.
