The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) William Vanegas made an unannounced inspection for the purposes of conducting an annual inspection. Upon arrival LPA Vanegas was greeted and granted entry to the facility by Care Giver (CG) Gessica Tudurachi and explained the nature of the inspection. LPA Vanegas set up equipment and began a tour of the facility and observed the following.

This is a one storied home with seven bedrooms six of which are resident rooms, and one of which is a staff bedroom. There are four bathrooms, two of which are private bathrooms, one of which is a shared bathroom, and one of which is a shared staff and visitor bathroom. LPA Vanegas observed kitchen area to be clean and free of debris. LPA Vanegas observed there to be a microwave, gas stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, washer, and dryer all in good repair and operational. LPA Vanegas observed a two day supply of perishable food, and a seven day supply of non-perishable food along with a sufficient amount of emergency water for residents in care, and staff on duty.

LPA Vanegas observed resident bathrooms to be clean and free of debris or mildew. LPA Vanegas observed bathrooms to have required furnishings such as shower chair, slip resistant floor matts, and grab bars. Water faucets and toilets tested operational and water temperature tested between 116.5 and 118.2 degrees.

LPA Vanegas toured the outside of the facility and observed a large backyard big enough to participate in outdoor activities upon resident request. There is a shaded sitting area available for resident use. LPA Vanegas observed no obstructions a long emergency exit routes, and side doors are self latching with no locks on them.
