The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Shobhana Frank made an unannounced visit for the purpose of conducting an annual inspection. LPA was greeted and met with Program Manager Shirley Meade and Executive Director Julie Maunders.

LPA observed COVID - station equipped with hand sanitizer, thermometer, Gloves, visitors log. LPA observed COVID posters throughout the facility.

LPA tour the interior and exterior of the facility. LPA observed walkways to be free of clutter and/or debris. Facility is a single story Day Program located inside a Commercial building. At time of visit there were 22 clients in care. LPA observed clients relaxing in Main Room working on activities, games and listening to live musician. Clients appeared clean in appearance and well taken care of. Clients and Staff were observed wearing face masks. All restrooms observed contained working water basin, soap, toilet paper and hand towels.

LPA observed the emergency disaster and evacuation plans posted. Facility has refrigerators for clients to store lunches and pantry with food supply for snacks. Facility has fire extinguishers mounted and fully charged. Facility has provided documentation for operating smoke detectors. Hot water temperature in resident bathrooms was measure 108.6 degrees F. LPA observed emergency supplies present. Facility's last fire drill was conducted on 8/4/22.

Facility has ample supply of PPE. Facility has a secured location for Client files. Facility has designated visitation area.

No deficiencies noted during today’s visit. An exit interview was conducted with Administrator and a copy of report was provided.
