The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Michael Tea conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection of the facility. Upon arrival, LPA Tea was greeted by facility staff and granted entry. Administrator (AD) Ronald Almuete arrived shortly and assisted with the inspection. The facility is licensed to serve three ambulatory clients and had one client in care at the time of the visit.

LPA Tea reviewed one client file and three staff files. All files were complete and contained the required documentation. The Administrator Certificate is valid through June 17, 2026. AD Almuete reported that he is currently completing the required course work to renew his administrator certification.

LPA Tea and AD Almuete toured the facility, including the physical plant, food storage and preparation areas, and first aid supplies. The facility is a two-story home consisting of three client bedrooms, one-and-a-half bathrooms, a kitchen, dining area, and living room. The facility was observed to be clean, safe, and well maintained. Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors were tested and found to be operational throughout the home. Client bedrooms were appropriately furnished with beds, clean linens, and adequate storage space for personal belongings. Bathrooms were clean and in good repair, with functioning fixtures and showers free of mold and mildew. The hot water temperature measured 117.3°F, which is within regulatory standards. An adequate supply of hygiene items, including towels and toiletries, was available.

Common areas were free of hazards and provided clear pathways for safe movement throughout the home. The first aid kit was complete and contained all required supplies. The kitchen was clean and fully
