Facility Evaluation Report
Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Rose Ruppert made an announced visit to the facility for the purpose of conducting a pre-licensing inspection. LPA met with co-licensees Ronald Almuete and Sarah Paul. An application to operate an Adult Residential Facility (ARF) was received by our agency for a total capacity of three ambulatory clients.
The facility is a level six, two story home with three private client bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, a kitchen and dining area, All bedrooms have a dresser, drawers and lamp with the required bed linens. Nightlights were observed in common hallways and client rooms. All screens and windows were maintained.
LPA observed the See Something, Say Something poster (PUB 475), Personal Rights, and Emergency Disaster Plan posted. All toxic chemicals, cleaning solutions, and disinfectants are inaccessible to clients and will be stored and locked in a cabinet. Medications will also be stored in a locked cabinet. The First Aid kit has all the required elements with a First Aid Manual.
Board games were observed in the living room with a phone for client use. A supply of seven-day of non-perishable food was observed and will be maintained on hand. Licensees will provide two-day perishables upon receipt of clients in care. Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors tested operational. Gas burner stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, washer, and dryer are operational. Sharps and knives are secured in a locked cabinet.
LPA oberved the exterior is a common area for all homes. There are two heated pools for property residents at the Clubhouse that are secured and is a three minute walk from the residence. Entry by a key is required.
