The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Nancy Guillen conducted this unannounced visit for the purpose of completing an annual required inspection. LPA arrived at the facility was greeted and granted entry by Editha Guarino after explaining the purpose of the visit. Administrator Eugenio Abobo arrived shortly after. LPA observed Administrator Certificate is current with an expiration date of September 25, 2027. This is an Adult Residential Facility licensed for 28 ambulatory clients. Twenty seven clients currently reside at this facility.

LPA began the tour of the inside and outside of the facility and observed the following:

The facility is a single story complex with 15 client bedrooms, six client bathrooms, two staff restrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, storage rooms, activities room, pantry room, sun room, garage and two staff offices. LPA observed the staff offices to be locked and made inaccessible to clients in care. Facility stays within the capacity limitations.

The facility is maintained at a comfortable temperature. LPA observed that medication is centrally stored in a locked storage cabinet located in the kitchen. LPA reviewed medication and observed medication was labeled and stored inaccessible to clients in care. LPA inspected the restrooms. LPA measured the hot water which measured between 115.3 to 121.4 degrees Fahrenheit.
