The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Brandon Lopez made an unannounced visit to the facility to conduct a Case Management Incident inspection. The inspection is being conducted to follow up on an incident report that was received by the Orange County Regional Office (OCRO) on 4/8/25 regarding a family providing unauthorized medication to Resident #1. LPA was greeted and granted entry into the facility by Administrator (AD) Vijay Kanase after explaining the purpose for the visit.

During today's visit, LPA, accompanied by the AD conducted a tour of the interior and exterior portions of the facility. LPA conducted a health and safety check for the five residents in care. Residents appeared clean and in good health. LPA observed residents relaxing in their respective bedrooms and in common areas during time of visit. LPA reviewed Resident #1 file including his Pre-placement Appraisal, Reappraisal, Physician's report, Medication Administration Record, Incident Reports, Progress Notes, Admission Agreement, and the facility's Plan of Operation. LPA conducted an interview with the AD, the staff that was present during the incident, and attempted to interview Resident #1.

Based on the observations made during today's visit, no deficiencies are being cited per the Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations. An exit interview was conducted with Administrator Vijay Kanase and a copy of the report was provided.
