Facility Evaluation Report
Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Hanna Gough made an unannounced visit to the facility to conduct the required annual inspection LPA was greeted and granted entry by staff. LPA met with Administrator (AD) and Licensee Kerry and Terry Joiner and discussed the purpose of the visit.
The facility is a one story home with five resident bedrooms, one staff bedroom, three bathrooms, one wet room, two living rooms, kitchen, dining room and attached two car garage. The facility appears clean, safe and sanitary. All resident bedrooms have the required components and furnishings. LPA observed the clean supply of linens to be in the hall closet by the resident bedrooms closest to the front door. LPA observed the bathrooms to be stocked with toilet paper, paper towels and non slip mats in the shower. The water was tested between 106.7 and 112.8 degrees Fahrenheit. LPA observed the kitchen to be clean and free of vermin. A two day perishable and seven day non perishable food supply was observed to be on hand. LPA observed all appliances to be operational. LPA observed toxins and chemicals to be under the kitchen sink in a locked cabinet and in a locked cabinet in the garage. LPA observed the centrally stored medication to be in a locked cabinet located under the kitchen counter facing the dining room. LPA observed the first aid kit to have all the required components. LPA observed the emergency food and water supply to be located in the garage. The garage also had an extra fridge and freezer stocked with facility food. LPA observed a fire extinguisher charged and with a purchase date of August 6, 2025. The backyard had a shaded seating area for resident use and was free of debris and obstructions with the side gate unlocked. AD tested the carbon monoxide and smoke detectors and they were found to be operational.
