The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Hanna Gough made an unannounced visit to the facility to conduct the required annual inspection. LPA was greeted and granted entry by Administrator (AD) Drew Warmsley and discussed the purpose of the visit.

The facility currently has no clients in care or staff.

The facility is a one story home with three client bedrooms, two bathroom, kitchen, living room, dining room and laundry room. The facility appears clean, safe and sanitary. LPA observed the kitchen to be clean and free of vermin. LPA observed a two day perishable and seven day non perishable food supply on hand. The emergency food supply is stored in the kitchen cabinets. LPA observed the toxins and chemicals to be locked under the kitchen sink. All appliances were found to be operational. LPA observed the first aid kit to be complete and in the locked cabinet above the kitchen sink where client medication will be stored. The knives and sharps are locked in the same cabinet as the medication and made inaccessible. LPA observed a fire extinguisher in the dining room charged and with a service date of September 17, 2025. All client bedrooms had the required components and furnishings. LPA observed the extra linens to be in the hall drawers by bedroom #1 along with facility activity supplies in the cabinets above. The restrooms were observed to have toilet paper and textured shower flooring. The backyard was free of debris and obstructions and a shaded seating area was observed on the front porch. AD tested the carbon monoxide and smoke detectors and they were found to be operational.
