The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Hanna Gough conducted an announced visit to the facility for the purpose of a pre-licensing inspection. LPA arrived at the facility and was greeted and granted entry. LPA met with applicant Diana Hernandez.

An initial application to operate an Adult Residential Facility for four ambulatory clients was submitted to CCL on November 20, 2024.

The facility is a one story home with a detached two car garage with one staff bedroom, four client bedrooms, two bathrooms, dining room, living room, kitchen, laundry room, and a backyard with shaded seating. The staff bedroom can lock making it inaccessible to clients. The four private client bedrooms had all the required components and furnishings with extra storage space. All bathrooms have working toilets, sinks, and showers. The water temperature in the bathroom closest to the staff bedroom was at 113.1 degrees Fahrenheit and the water in the bathroom hall across from the laundry room was at 114.6 degrees Fahrenheit. The facility had extra clean linens in the cabinet located next to the bathroom closest to the laundry room. LPA observed the See Something, Say Something poster (PUB 475), Personal Rights, and Emergency Disaster Plan in the facility mounted on the wall in the living room. The emergency disaster plan was posted with emergency phone numbers listed. LPA observed a seven day food supply and two day perishables will be stored in the kitchen. LPA observed facility emergency food and water supply. LPA observed that smoke and carbon monoxide detectors tested operational. LPA observed a fire extinguisher in the living room fully charged with a purchase date of June 20, 2024. LPA observed that the gas burner stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, washer, and dryer are operational.
