The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Rose Ruppert made an unannounced visit to the facility today to conduct an Annual Required Evaluation. LPA was greeted and granted entry by Staff #1. During today’s visit, LPA met with Susan Gonzales, House Manager (HM).

The facility is a level 3 , four bedroom, three bathroom, single- story home with an approved fire clearance of six ambulatory clients . The facility currently has a census of three clients in care. Upon entry LPA observed two of the three clients preparing to leave for Day Programs and one client was using the stationary bicycle during visit

During today’s visit, LPA toured the facility and inspected the physical plant, including but not limited to testing all smoke detectors, and testing hot water temperature in three of three client bathrooms . The hot water temperature measured between 105.6 and 106.3 degrees Fahrenheit and all smoke detectors were operational . The fire extinguisher is charged and was serviced on September 13, 2024. The facility’s last fire drill was conducted on January 6, 2025.

LPA inspected the facility food supply and observed the facility retained a minimum of two days perishable and seven days non-perishable food on hand. The pantries were filled with canned goods and the refrigerator was stocked. All appliances were operational. Sharps and knives were secured under sink.

LPA observed medication storage and reviewed the centrally stored medications. Per review medications are being given as prescribed. The First Aid kit had all the required elements.
