The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ruth Martinez conducted an unannounced visit for the purpose of conducting a required annual inspection. LPA was greeted and granted entry into the facility by caregiver. LPA met with Dante Encarnacion, Administrator and explained the nature of the visit.

LPA Martinez accompanied by Administrator and caregiver began the tour of the inside and outside of the facility. There are 40 clients in care and there is no active covid cases in the facility. There is a sign-in procedure in place and hand sanitizer for use in the main entry of the facility. LPA observed required department postings, covid-19 precautionary postings in the facility as well as hand washing signs throughout the facility. LPA observed clients having lunch and in the courtyard of the facility at the time of visit. Facility has required Emergency Disaster Plan posted. Food supply adequately meets requirements for a two day supply of perishables and a seven day supply of non-perishable foods on hand. All bathrooms observed to have a supply of soap, toilet paper and paper towels. LPA toured the client’s bedroom, all bedrooms observed to have all required components. The facility is equipped with sufficient hand hygiene supplies, cleaning and disinfecting supplies. Facility has an emergency food and water supply. Personal protective equipment (PPE) supply is available. Facility has a secure location for client’s medication, and it was observed there was a 30 day supply of medication for clients. LPA toured the outside of the facility and observed several shaded seating areas for clients use.

Based on the observation made during today’s visit, no deficiencies were noted today in the areas inspected per Title 22 Division 6 of the California Code of Regulations.

This report was reviewed with the Administrator and a copy of this report was provided to the facility.
