Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Rose Ruppert made an unannounced visit to the facility today to conduct an Annual Required Evaluation. LPA was greeted and granted entry by Administrator (AD) Jean Villareal and Licensee (LE), Joey Villareal and explained the purpose of the visit.

The facility is a level 4e, single story, six bedroom, two bathroom residential home with an approved fire clearance of five non ambulatory clients. The facility currently has a census of four clients in care. Upon entry two clients were going to Day Program at 8am.

During today’s visit, LPA toured the facility and inspected the physical plant, including but not limited to testing all smoke detectors, testing hot water temperature in two of two client bathrooms, and testing auditory devices on all exits . All client bedrooms had the required furniture, linens were clean and rooms organized and decorated to their tastes. Bathrooms had grab bars, and covered trash cans. The hot water temperature measured between 109.2 and 110.1 degrees Fahrenheit and all smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were operational . The fire extinguisher is charged and was serviced on March 10, 2025. The facility’s last fire drill was conducted on July 15, 2025 .

LPA inspected the facility food supply and observed the facility retained a minimum of two days perishable and seven days non-perishable food on hand . Emergency supply items and water were located in the garage. Sharps and knives and cleaning chemicals were secured.
