The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) William Vanegas conducted an unannounced visit for the purposes of completing an annual inspection. Upon arrival LPA Vanegas was greeted and granted entry by Direct Support Staff (DSP) Mary Grace Cueva. LPA Vanegas explained the purpose of the inspection and began a tour of the facility and observed the following.

This a one storied facility with four bedrooms, all bedrooms are used for clients, and two bathrooms all bathrooms are for client, staff, and visitor use. LPA Vanegas observed the kitchen area to be clean and free of any mildew and debris. LPA Vanegas observed a refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, washer, and a dryer all appeared to be in good repair, and tested operational. LPA Vanegas observed a sufficient amount of emergency water for clients in care, and a seven day supply of non-perishable food, and a two day supply of perishable food.

LPA Vanegas observed client bedrooms to be clean and free of any debris blocking the entry ways. LPA Vanegas observed client bedrooms to have all required furnishings such as a lamp, chair, bed, clean linens in good repair; meaning no strains or tares, chest drawers, and enough storage space for personal belongings.

LPA Vanegas observed bathrooms to have all required furnishings such as grab bars, slip resistant floor matts, and a shower chair. LPA Vanegas observed water faucets and toilets to be operational. Water temperature tested between 102.3 and 105.4 degrees.
