The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Hanna Gough arrived at the facility to conduct the required annual inspection. LPA was greeted and granted entry by staff. LPA met with Administrator (AD) Noel Villegas and discussed the purpose of the visit. The facility currently has four clients of which two are at day program.

The facility is a one story home with three client bedrooms, a staff room, two bathrooms, a kitchen, living room, backyard and detached two car garage. Facility appears clean, safe and sanitary. LPA observed the kitchen to be free of vermin. LPA observed the two day perishable and seven day non-perishable food supply on hand. LPA observed the knives to be stored in a locked drawer by the kitchen sink making them inaccessible to clients in care. LPA observed a fire extinguisher in the kitchen charged and with a service date of July 16, 2025. LPA observed the toxins and chemicals to be locked under the kitchen sink making them inaccessible to clients in care. LPA observed the centrally stored medication to be stored in the locked hall cabinet by the kitchen making them inaccessible to clients in care. LPA observed an extra supply of clean linens under the centrally stored medication cabinet for client use. LPA observed client bedrooms had the required components and furnishings. LPA observed the two bathrooms to have toilet paper, paper towels and non slip flooring. LPA tested the water to be between 113.7-116 degrees Fahrenheit. LPA observed the backyard to have a shaded seating area for client use. LPA observed the backyard to be free of obstructions. LPA observed the garage to have extra food and supply storage. LPA and AD tested the carbon monoxide and smoke detectors, and they were found to be operational.

LPA reviewed staff files and no discrepancies were observed. LPA reviewed client files and no discrepancies were observed. LPA and AD reviewed client P&I and no discrepancies were observed. LPA observed client medication and no discrepancies were observed. LPA observed that the last fire drill was conducted on June 23, 2025. Continue on 809-C
