The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Rose Ruppert and Taylor Simerly made an unannounced visit to the facility today to conduct an Annual Required Evaluation. LPAs were greeted and granted entry by staff. During today’s visit, LPA met with Nancy Orcino, Administrator Designee.

The facility is a level two single story building with a loft and an approved fire clearance of six ambulatory clients. The facility currently has a census of six in care with two staff on duty. LPA observed the PUB 475 “See Something Say Something” poster posted in the living room.

During today’s visit, LPAs toured the facility and inspected the physical plant, including but not limited to testing all smoke detectors, testing hot water temperature in resident bathrooms, The hot water temperature measured at 109.5 degrees F and two of three smoke detectors were operational. A deficiency will be cited. LPA noted bathroom toilets were in working order and grab bars and non-skid floormats were provided. The facility’s last fire drill was conducted on August 4, 2026. Fire extinguishers were charged and serviced on September 15, 2025.

LPAs toured the exterior and observed patio furniture with shade.
