The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Hanna Gough arrived at the facility to conduct the required annual inspection. LPA was greeted and granted entry by staff. LPA met with Quality Assurance Manager (QA) Merlinda Maglaya and discussed the purpose of the visit. The facility currently is closed for renovations and has no clients in care.

The facility is a one story home with four client bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, kitchen, dining room, and two car garage. LPA observed the renovations in progress. LPA observed the swimming pool to be filled and QA informed LPA that they are waiting on permits and will submit a new fire clearance to the Department once permits are obtained. LPA toured the facility and observed no evidence of client care being given at the facility. LPA observed the water and electricity are operational with the gas shut off due to the renovations taking place. QA was advised to inform the LPA when the facility is ready to accept new clients and was reminded to pay the annual licensing fees to keep the license active. QA informed LPA that the facility does not have an open date on when they will be accepting new clients.

Based on the observations made during today's visit, no deficiency is cited per Title 22 Division 6 of the California Code of Regulations.

An exit interview was conducted with QA Manager Merlinda Maglaya, and a copy of this report was provided.
