Regarding the allegation Staff do not provide clients with adequate activi ties. LPA interviewed staff and clients and observed the program’s operations. Clients reported participating in a variety of activities including bowling, arts and crafts, painting, culinary activities, music, hiking, library visits, community outings, and other group activities. Several clients discussed favorite activities and outings without prompting and expressed enjoyment in attending the program. Clients also reported having fun and wanting to continue participating in services. LPA obtained insufficient evidence to support that clients were not provided adequate activities. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated.

Regarding the allegation Staff are financially abusing clients. The reporting party alleged that staff asked clients for gift cards; however, the reporting party was unsure whether clients had ever provided gift cards or other items to staff. LPA interviewed multiple clients and staff during the course of the investigation. No client reported giving staff money, gift cards, or other items of value, and no evidence was obtained to support that staff financially exploited clients. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated.
