Complaint Investigation Report
Regarding the allegation Staff do not seek medical attention to residents in a timely manner. LPA Hurt reviewed facility records documenting all staff are current in CPR/First aid training. LPA Hurt interviewed Staff 2 who stated they are trained to render needed aid for residents, and contact 911 immediately in situations where the resident needs further assistance. Based on interviews conducted, and records reviewed this allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED. A finding that an allegation is Unsubstantiated means although the allegation may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur.
Regarding the allegation Residents have access to drugs. Staff 3 stated the clients are free to come and go from the facility as they please. Staff 3 stated the residents unfortunately do have access to recreational drugs when they go to their work sites or area outside of the facility. Staff 3 stated the Residents are aware using recreational drugs inside the facility is against the house rules and they will be given a written warning if they use recreational drugs inside the facility. LPA Hurt reviewed facility house rules and it is documented recreational drug use is not within the rules. Based on interviews conducted, and records reviewed this allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED. A finding that an allegation is Unsubstantiated means although the allegation may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur.
No deficiencies are being cited Per Title 22 Regulations. Exit interview conducted with facility Administrator Emmanuel Inneh, and a copy of this report provided.
