Complaint Investigation Report
Staff stated that they have recommended to residents that in order to keep the cool air in the room, they should close the sliding door(s), but some residents choose to keep them open. Administrator and staff stated that they check on residents to make sure they are doing well and are comfortable.
Residents interviewed were unable to corroborate the allegations. 9 out of 13 residents stated that they were comfortable with the room temperature. LPA observed that some of the resident rooms were warmer than others, however, the rooms that were warmer were the rooms that had the sliding doors open.
LPA observed large fans in dining area, and fans in the medication room, and kitchen area. LPA also observed a cold water dispenser for residents in the dining area.
Based on LPA's observations and interviews, investigation revealed: Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated.
No Deficiencies cited under California Code of Regulations Title 22. Exit interview conducted, and a copy of report was provided to Administrator, Brian Buenviaje.
