The inspector’s account

The investigation revealed the following: regarding the allegation “Staff did not accord client dignity in their relationship with staff or other persons.” It is alleged staff did not accord C1 with dignity. Five (5) out of the five (5) clients interviewed denied this allegation. Three (3) out of the three (3) staff interviewed denied this allegation. Interview with C1 revealed that C1 feels all staff treat C1 with dignity and respect C1’s right to deny assistance or treatment offered by staff. C1 revealed they felt staff try their best to meet C1’s needs and treat C1 well. Interview with S1 revealed that C1 needs redirection with certain activities of daily living and S1 has only suggested different ways to help C1 and has never treated C1 with disrespect. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED .

No deficiencies were cited during this visit. Exit interview was conducted. A copy of this report was provided.
