COMPLAINT CONTROL NUMBER: 47-HC-20230907083923
Home Care Aides have not met training requirements prior to working with clients.
On 3/25/24, Home Care Services Analysts Ramsey Chimienti, Mila Quinto and Todd Borcher arrived at the business address for Salus Homecare. The Analysts introduced themselves and were greeted by Diana Robles. The Analysts explained that they were there to investigate the above complaint allegation. Analyst Chimienti interviewed Diana regarding the company’s onboarding process for caregivers including the delivery of the training for Home Care Aides (HCAs). The Analyst also reviewed personnel files to confirm that the minimum amount of training hours and topics were being provided prior to HCA contact with clients. The documentation demonstrated that all HCA staff met the training requirements for licensure.
The Analysts concluded that there was not conclusive evidence to substantiate the above allegations. The analysts delivered the findings to Diana. Based on the preponderance of evidence gathered through interviews conducted, evidence obtained and observations, the above allegations were found to be unsubstantiated. An exit interview was conducted, and the licensing reports and appeal rights were provided to the designee.
Analyst Chimienti concluded the visit with an exit interview and provided a copy of the HCS 9099 report along with appeal rights.
