Facility Evaluation Report
On 12/23/2021, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Don Senaha conducted an unannounced annual required visit with a primary focus on Infection Control measures using the new CARE Inspection Tool. LPA met with caregiver Cecilia Maura Castro and Administrator Linda Whitford and explained the purpose of today’s visit. The facility is licensed to operate for five (5) ambulatory developmentally disabled clients between the ages of 18 through 59.
The facility is a single-story structure located in a residential neighborhood. It consists of the following: two (2) client rooms, one (1) staff/storage room with a bathroom, one (1) client bathroom, one (1) living area, one (1) dining area and kitchen. There is an outside covered patio area and the laundry area is outside in patio area. The garage is attached with access only from the front of the garage only. Garage includes an additional refrigerator/freezer and is used for storage.
LPA and caregiver Cecilia Maura Castro toured the physical plant and was later joined by Administrator Linda Whitford. There were no bodies of water or obstructions on the premises. All rooms were inspected. Beds and bedding supplies were in good condition, adequate lighting provided, storage for client personal belongings was observed. Bed linens, comforters, and bath towels were adequately stocked at the time of visit. Bathrooms were found to be within Title 22 regulations and were clean and operational. The water temperature measured between 105.1 F to 109.5 F in the bathrooms and kitchen sink. A comfortable temperature was maintained in the facility.
