Complaint Investigation Report
Regarding the allegation that Staff do not treat residents equally, it was alleged that when R1 bought own food, the staff wouldn’t let R1 put food in the fridge but let others do it. LPA's interview with the staff in charge of the kitchen today at around 12:05 PM, revealed that any resident could keep their food that needs refrigeration in the refrigerator dedicated for the use of the residents and they never refused anyone to keep their food in the refrigerator but the staff should be the one to put it in the refrigerator as it is located inside the locked kitchen that only staff has access. LPA's observation during physical plant tour revealed that R1 has some food items kept on the refrigerator during this visit. LPA's interview with three (3) residents or more than 10% of the current census revealed that they all have food in the refrigerator and no staff refused to keep their food in the refrigerator.
Based on the information gathered during this visit, these allegations are deemed unsubstantiated at this time.
