The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Abeye Duguma met with Rebecca Small for a Required One (01) Year visit. LPA explained the reason for the visit. A tour of the physical plant was conducted and the following was noted:

There is one entrance being utilized at the facility. The facility has a total of eight (08) bedrooms and four (04) bathrooms. The facility is fire cleared for sixteen (16) ambulatory. The facility is currently occupying fourteen (14) residents.

The facility has a lobby and an intake office near the front entrance for residents and visitors. The facility does not have a swimming pool/body of water.

All meals are catered and served. Kitchen area is sufficiently stocked with snacks and beverages. Frozen foods are wrapped and stored appropriately. Food storage and preparation areas are clean and inaccessible to pests. The facility does not keep sharps and knives on the premise.

The common and activities areas are neat and clean. The facility maintains a comfortable temperature at 72°F. The smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are hardwired, interconnected and centralized. A signal is automatically dispatched to the local fire department. Fire extinguisher is located at the west end of the facility and observed to be fully charged and last inspected 01/20/2025.
